A person who is not currently in paid employment and may be seeking work, training or another livelihood pathway.
A person who has work but may have insufficient hours, income, responsibility or use of their skills.
A person who performs essential work directly in workplaces, properties or communities, including cleaning, housekeeping, sanitation, maintenance and customer-facing services.
A structured system for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, order, asset care and readiness in homes, offices, hotels, hospitals, schools and other properties.
The combination of skills, behaviour, communication, readiness and evidence that helps a person pursue and sustain suitable work.
The demonstrated ability to perform a task safely and to the required standard—not only knowledge of the task.
A process used to observe, question or review evidence in order to determine whether learning outcomes or task standards have been met.
A record showing that a learner participated in or completed a defined programme. It is not automatically a government-recognised qualification.
Formal recognition issued under a defined framework by an authorised awarding, assessment or institutional body.
A realistic route towards employment, self-employment, upskilling, workplace progression or another income-generating activity.
